Tribunal admits lawsuit against ten State entities for alleged non-compliance with the law to combat deforestation

The legal action seeks to have the Government carry out the functions that the law assigned to the National Council to Combat Deforestation (CONALDEF), created to coordinate the State's response to deforestation and other environmental crimes. The decision comes as the country once again debates the protection of the Santurbán páramo and compliance with court orders on environmental matters.
