FEDe. Colombia warns of the deterioration of the risk management system: the majority of the country’s fire departments are not certified

The Foundation for the Rule of Law warns that the National Fire Directorate is failing to fulfill its duty to certify fire departments technically and operationally, despite the law having required this for more than a decade. In the context of the National Emergency Drill, the Foundation notes that the comprehensive fire risk management system in Colombia is in crisis due to the inaction of the National Fire Directorate and the lack of state oversight.
