Courts to examine the instrumentalization of Government social media accounts: Ministry of Education and Geological Survey to be first cases reviewed

The Administrative Tribunal of Cundinamarca admitted compliance actions against the Ministry of Education and the Colombian Geological Survey for the political use of their official social media accounts. The Foundation for the Rule of Law warned that institutional accounts may not be used for purposes unrelated to their mandate, as the law requires objectivity and public service.
