Annulment of the resolution granting the environmental license for the extension of Avenida Boyacá

The Regional Autonomous Corporation of Cundinamarca (CAR) granted the environmental license for the extension of Avenida Boyacá through Resolution 20237000994 of 2023, following an ecosystem assessment and an authorized removal of hectares from the Thomas Van Der Hammen Forest Reserve. The Foundation's intervention in support of the defendant (coadyuvancia) seeks to protect the District's ecosystems and to safeguard the principle of legality and the autonomy of territorial authorities against the request for annulment and precautionary measures filed by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADS).
