Annulment action against Circular 20231000 relating to the suspension of energy supply limitations

Through the issuance of Circular 20231000, the Superintendency of Residential Public Utilities (SSPD) prohibited agents of the National Interconnected System (SIN) from initiating or continuing energy supply limitation procedures with respect to electricity service providers under an intervention measure by the Superintendency. Such instruction constitutes a substantive modification of the technical regulatory regime of the electricity sector, in open contradiction with the competencies assigned by law.
