Tribunal admits popular action over deterioration of security and violation of collective rights in the department of Cauca

Administrative Tribunal of Cauca, Argelia, Cajibío, Caldono, Caloto, Cauca, Corinto, ELN, Estado Mayor Central (EMC), Miranda, Popular action, Public Security, Puerto Tejada, Santander de Quilichao, Silvia

The admission will allow judicial review of State omissions with respect to the intensification of the armed conflict in the territory, as well as the adoption of urgent protection measures for the civilian population. The decision comes amid the escalation of violence in the region and initiates judicial oversight of the institutional response to the deterioration of public order in Cauca.
