Press release — Rejection of the Minister of the Interior’s attacks against a Justice of the Supreme Court of Justice

The Foundation for the Rule of Law, whose mission is to promote respect for democratic principles, the separation of powers, and institutional order, categorically rejects the accusations directed by the Minister of the Interior against Justice Cristina Lombana of the Supreme Court of Justice. In a video disseminated on social media, the Minister used offensive terms that call into question both the mental health and the judicial integrity of the Justice. These insults, unbecoming of a senior public official, undermine the dignity of a sitting Justice and violate the respect that must exist among the branches of public power.
