Three court rulings order the Investigation and Accusation Commission to disclose public information about its work
05/06/2026
In three consecutive decisions, the Administrative Tribunal of Cundinamarca concluded that the Commission may not deny information about its institutional functioning by generally invoking the confidentiality of criminal investigations. The rulings allow citizens to access information on the performance of the body responsible for investigating the State's highest officials, including the number of complaints received, investigations under way, the assignment of case files, and proceedings that end due to the statute of limitations or expiry.
