The Council of State provisionally suspends a DAPRE resolution that made weekends and holidays working days for contracting processes

The Council of State provisionally suspended, with immediate effect, Resolution 0478 of 2026, by which the Administrative Department of the Presidency of the Republic (DAPRE) had declared several Saturdays, Sundays and holidays in July and August as working days for contracting, administrative and budgetary actions. The decision was issued on a lawsuit filed by the Foundation for the Rule of Law (FEDe. Colombia). Until the legality of the act is decided on the merits, DAPRE may not continue to apply it. The suspension affects both DAPRE's contracting processes and the working conditions of public servants.
