Lawsuit against AEROCIVIL over critical failures in air safety infrastructure

The Foundation for the Rule of Law filed a popular action against the Civil Aviation Authority (AEROCIVIL) for alleged systematic failures in radars, navigation aids and air traffic control that would compromise operational safety at several of the country's airports. The lawsuit cites operational closures, radar failures, inoperative landing systems, and technical alerts issued by ICAO and the Office of the Inspector General.
