Lawsuit admitted warning of the loss of pluralism and editorial balance at RTVC and of omissions in the oversight and monitoring duties of MinTIC

The Administrative Tribunal of Cundinamarca admitted the lawsuit against RTVC for the alleged loss of independence and the political use of public media, as well as for the omissions of the Ministry of ICT in its statutory duty to monitor and oversee the sector, raising alarms over media pluralism and informational accuracy in Colombia. The action alleges an apparent editorial bias in favor of the Government that would compromise administrative morality and the democratic function of the public media system.
