Ruling orders the Government to secure the resources needed to pay electricity and gas subsidies and reiterates that this is a legal obligation

The Administrative Tribunal of Cundinamarca decided a compliance action filed by the Foundation for the Rule of Law (FEDe. Colombia) against the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The decision orders both entities, within ten days, to guarantee the availability of the resources for 2024 and 2025 needed to cover electricity and gas subsidies for socioeconomic strata 1, 2 and 3 and for the country's most vulnerable rural areas.
